The Well: Scripture, Teaching and Formation
426-THE-WELL-FOUNDATION · Version 1.0 · October 25, 2026
Mission
The Well exists to help people read Scripture with attention and understanding. It offers access to the biblical text, study companions and reflective teaching while allowing readers to pursue their own questions. It does not make a commercial product the destination of every lesson.
The site’s reader allows passage lookup, chapter reading and keyword search. Search results help locate words; they do not establish a complete theological interpretation.
Read the passage in context
A study should identify the book, audience, literary setting and surrounding argument where these can be established responsibly. Read before and after a selected verse. Distinguish narrative description, poetry, wisdom, prophecy and instruction.
A reference is an invitation to examine the text. A short excerpt must not be presented as the whole passage when omitted wording changes how it is understood.
Separate the layers of communication
Direct biblical quotations should identify their translation. Explanations should be recognizable as explanations, and personal testimony should be attributed with permission. Original-language claims require a reliable source and accurate spelling.
426 program names, symbolism and design interpretations are creative frameworks under Scripture. They are not additional revelation or evidence that every proposed program is divinely guaranteed.
Study design
A useful companion names its purpose, provides the passage, offers contextual observations, poses open questions and identifies a practical response. Questions should encourage examination rather than pressure the reader to repeat a preferred answer.
Readers may save a passage, add a note, return to unfinished reading and mark a reading complete voluntarily. These tools support continuity; they do not award spiritual status.
Editorial workflow
Draft material stays in the administrator’s editorial records until reviewed. Check references, quotation accuracy, factual claims, authorship, permissions and links. Publish only the approved text to the public article collection.
Each public record needs a stable slug, title, summary, Scripture references, body, author and publication date. Corrections should be made promptly, with a version note when a change affects meaning. Search snapshots are regenerated through the documented publishing script.
Formation and limits
James 1 connects hearing the Word with doing it. The Well therefore encourages prayer, obedience, fellowship and wise counsel alongside information gathering. A study page is not a substitute for a local church or a promise of personal pastoral availability.
Assess usefulness through accurate content, accessibility and voluntary feedback. Do not present page views, badges or purchases as proof of discipleship or transformation.
